Despite sleeping in until almost 8 that morning, Ethan had decided to nap on the way to Buffalo, so he was a little groggy and mad that we woke him. Not to mention he was still crabby from teething...so pictures, while better, were still a challenge. He smiled for a few, but he was more inquisitive about everything, from a feather duster to a toy train to toy blocks (all theirs). In comparison to his 3 month portraits (37 photos to pick from), we got 14. Not bad, but not as many as I would have liked. We ordered a bunch because as I said, there were enough to pick from and also because I really didn't want to go and have them done AGAIN. I thought it was especially funny when we came across a photo that was taken at Thursday's session of Ethan holding/examining Mark's cell phone. "I want a sheet of that," I told the photographer. "Really..okay." She didn't understand, but when Mark and I looked at that photo, we saw how it captured Ethan and his personality perfectly. We spent a small fortune (good thing we only do pictures 1-2 times a year), got our picture CD, and were told we can pick up his photos August 5th. Watch for more photos in the coming days, as we get the prints and make birthday invites (only 18 days...can you believe it???).
Ethan and his "cheese face"-cute!!!
