Roseola Baby

So, Monday, Ethan woke up with a really bad rash all over his neck, stomach, and back. It started out pink, then got more red as the day wore on. I was a little nervous, since he's never had anything like that before, so I called the doctor and made him an afternoon appointment. While I was fairly certain that it was roseola, I thought there was a possibility of it being chicken pox, allergic reaction, or something else.

We got in right away. Ethan's doctor had a med student working with her, who was very excited to see something different after all the well-checks and school physicals she had been doing all day. Dr. Nelson confirmed that it was indeed roseola and said that was probably the reason for Ethan's fever/moodiness last week. She recommended Baby Tylenol and lots of cuddle time (which is one reason why I haven't been on here a whole lot lately). By Wednesday, Ethan was back to his old self. Now, it's on to more planning for the big birthday!
