The Phantom of the Opera

This afternoon, the 6 of us (Mom, Dad, Travis, Jenna, Mark and I) went to see "The Phantom of the Opera" at the Orpheum Theater. Mom and I were especially excited to see it. I had seen it about 10 years ago (during high school) when our band/choir went to New York City. I remember it being phenomenal then and it certainly was fantastic today as well. The movie is great, but seeing it onstage is an entirely different experience. One criticism we all seemed to have was that the actress playing "Christine" was a little too operetic for our taste. But aside from that, a sheer masterpiece! Afterward, we went to eat at Firelake in Minneapolis before temporarily getting lost in the mess that is downtown. We did eventually find our way back to a main road and got home fine to pick up Ethan and tell him all about our adventures.

Haven't seen "Phantom?" I recommend seeing it onstage, but the movie is also great! See for yourself below with my favorite song from the show...

You're right Dad. We were not lost. We just weren't exactly where we were supposed to be...it happens!
