So last night was a little better than the previous one. Ethan slept soundly until 4:30 when he woke up because his teeth and runny nose were bothering him. We tried to lay on the floor and fall asleep, but that only worked for about 30 minutes or so. Then we sat on the couch. He fell asleep almost immediately, while head-butting me in the process. I rested a little bit, but didn't really want to fall asleep, as I knew I had to be up shortly to get ready for church.
I played piano at both the 8 and 10am masses, came home and then decided to drive up to Subway for lunch (I had a gift card from one of my students). After that, my MIL came over for awhile (she was actually pretty decent today) and Mark and I tried to get some stuff done around the house. We put in the air conditioner, checked our ceiling fan for electrical wiring (it appears it does have some, so we should be able to put a light in our bedroom finally-YAY) and then went outside. There Mark watered the garden and cut down tree branches while I worked on getting the flagpole out of the ground (with Mark's eventual help) and putting my stone bench out by the fire pit. We still have a lot to do this summer, especially with all the upcoming parties (Ethan's 1st birthday, "The King & I" cast party, maybe a Pampered Chef or Tastefully Simple shindig). But it's a start. Now back to washing windows and mini-blinds tomorrow...
Merry Christmas 2025!
