Love is in the air in my Kindergarten classroom. Glory and JB are majorly crushing on each other-it's so cute! Yesterday we were playing Sight Word BINGO, so I would read the sight word, use it in a sentence, then say it again. Well, JB thought it would be funny if he said my sentence similarly, but use the word 'eyeball' within it. For example if I said, "had," "I had a bagel for breakfast," "had,", he would say "I had an eyeball for breakfast." After he would do this, he would look at Glory for approval. She would just giggle and say, "Oh, JB, you are so hilarious!" all the while getting rosy-cheeked. See, JB broke his leg, so he's been getting more attention lately anyway from everyone (especially the girls), but Glory has got it the worst. She wants to be by him every waking moment, carrying his crutches, pushing him in his wheelchair, helping him any way she can. And he's no slouch, either. He tries so hard to make her laugh and smile by telling jokes and stories.
The moms have noticed it, too. Both moms have commented that their children talk about each other at home, especially Glory. "All she talks about is JB....how JB made her laugh...how JB is so sweet...." Just a few months back, though, all Glory could talk about was how her and Josiah were going to get married, so it will be interesting to see how long this crush lasts...
It just brings me back to my Kindergarten years, when Mrs. Vieau was my TEACHER, not my COLLEAGUE, and I had the hugest crush on Charley Norell. Well, one day, while putting our coats and backpacks in the cubbies, my friend, Kari, kissed her crush, Craig, on the cheek. Not wanting to be outdone, I kissed Charley, too, on the cheek. And then stupid Sara Peterson had to go and tell on us. We got "talked to" by Mrs. Vieau and I cried (go figure)! Then that afternoon, my grandparents, Bob and Lynne were coming over for dinner. I was so excited about what I had done and had to tell SOMEONE so I told Lynne about my secret smooch. Well, it wasn't meant to be a secret because then Lynne told my parents who then scolded me AGAIN! How come, no matter what I do, I always get caught?!?

Dear Jessie, Please Please forgive me for my big mouth, I only told them because I didnt want you to be hurt, I still think of that and still feel bad. I Love You Lots and Lots
No worries, Lynne. I still love you. If you wouldn't have told them, I am sure Barb V., Sara's parents, or Charley's parents would have.
