Exciting Saturday

This morning, Mom, Ethan, and I went to Annandale's All-City Garage Sale. In years past, we have found some really great things there-coffee tables, rocking chairs, lots of clothes. This year, though, we didn't find as much. Maybe it was just because we didn't "need" as much, or maybe a lot of it was junk. Either way, we came home with very little-2 shelves for Ethan's room when he gets bigger, a few outfits, and a table and mirror that Mom is going to turn into a really cool coat rack thing.

When we got home, Mark was already at work (open house at the care center today), so Ethan and I had lunch and I tried to put some things away while he watched TV. I am gradually going through things in his room and boxing up stuff that he doesn't need anymore or has outgrown. After awhile, he got tired, so we went and took a nap together (fun mother-son bonding time). Mark got home a short time later. Ethan had his afternoon nap and Mark and I made our grocery list.

We decided to drop Ethan off at my parents' house while we went and did our Wal-Mart/Target shopping-it's a lot easier when you don't have an 8 month old getting fussy. Besides, with his cold, we don't need him catching swine flu (h1n1), too. We spent about a bajillion dollars (I don't know how this happens...wait, yes I do-diapers and formula). After taking our groceries home and unloading them, we went back over to my parents' house for some grilling fun. We could have grilled here, but our grill sucks. It's charcoal-ugh-and takes forever! Last year, Mark cooked some turkey burgers on there and I swear when he served them, they were still gobbling at me. When I said something though, he got all mad and defensive. Seriously, I thought he was going to cry, so now when we want grill food, we go over to Mom and Dad's. Anyways, the food was great, the company was awesome. Aside from Ethan eating too much and erpising (vomiting) while we were eating, it was darn near close to perfect.

We came home, sat down, and are now watching "The 40 Year Old Virgin" and then giving Ethan a bath before bed. Ahhhh....what an exciting life I lead.
