Happy Easter Everyone! And what a happy day it was! I started out my day this morning at 5 am, making muffins for the choir and brass quintet. We had two houseguests overnight-Lindsey and Adam, who were just wonderful. Adam and I had to be to church by 7:30 to get ready to sing. Lindsey, Mark, and Ethan followed close behind to go to 8am mass (10am is always a ZOO because the Easter egg hunt is right after). 8am mass went pretty well (a few mistakes, but whatever). Between masses, we ate breakfast (my delicious muffins) down in the church basement. 10 am mass went awesome (including my duet with Sarah)!
After mass, we came home and got our Easter baskets out. Ethan got both Lindsey and Adam a little something (chocolate and coffee) for staying with us. They reciprocated by giving him a book and a giant puppy. Ethan also got Mark and I "Scrubs"-Season 1 on DVD.
The Easter bunny was very good to Ethan for his first Easter. He got a Lightning McQueen baseball hat, Cars pajamas, a bib, a Spiderman cup, a Rock a Stack toy (he already has one at Grandma and Grandpa's and LOVES it), and a real universal remote. After opening our baskets, we did a mini-egg hunt. Ethan had 8 eggs hidden. After about 15-20 minutes, we finally found them all (that darn Easter bunny hid them too well). We stopped at my parents' house next to open Ethan's Easter basket there (he got two stuffed animals and a learning laptop-cool)! Then it was off to Stuhr's.
My grandma and grandpa's house was pretty good this year. No one was being stupid and anyone that was annoying, I steered clear of. We played a dice game (no Easter bunny visits for us big people and Ethan & Logan are a little small yet). Mark and I got some pretty nice things-some Vitamin water, a gift certificate to the local coffee shop, and a candle. I just don't like the whole "stealing" part of the game. If stealing is going to be part of the game, do it before the gifts are opened because some people just get hostile. Finally we went to my parents' house to play some games. We played Mad Gab (yay) and Pictionary Man (nay).
Adam had to get going so we came back here for him to finish packing. He left shortly after Ethan was done eating. I'm sorry, but 8 months is way too long to go without seeing someone. Mark and I are talking about possibly going up and visiting him. I always have a hard time when he leaves (I cried). So to help me take my mind off the happiness/sadness/busyness of the day, I decided to have a glass of wine. Which brings me here, blogging for all of you. I hope all of you had a blessed day! Alleluia!
Oh...and one more thing-Ethan had some very exciting milestones this weekend. He is finally getting his first tooth (bottom left), he is learning how to wave (sort of), and he can now get up on all fours. He rocks back and forth, back and forth until he tries to go forward and tips over. Still no crawling, but we are hopeful it will be soon!

I am very certain that the boy can wave!! I saw him...multiple times! I'm glad he had a good Easter. Glad we got to play Mad Gab too...even though we both kinda suck. I guess I should have had more wine! We should get together sometime. Go out to eat, get pedicures...something fun. Sorry about my addiction to ellipses and exclamation points!!! haha...Happy Easter! Talk to you soon.
