Stocking Up

After sitting at home all morning, we spent the afternoon running all over God knows where, stocking up on amenities. First we ran to Monticello. I wanted Chinese food (lo mein sounded good) so we went to Chin Yuen...closed on Sundays (darn weird hours-why is it that almost every Chinese restaurant is closed Sundays or Mondays?). So we ended up at the DQ Grill and Chill. Everything was good, but when we decided that we wanted a Blizzard, a group of 20 high schoolers and adults came in. We were not about to wait for the line to die down, so we went to Wal-Mart next because we needed Stridex pads (Buffalo Wal-Mart doesn't sell them) so we bought all the boxes they had (4)! I swear we could live as hermits for probably 3-6 months and have enough food and supplies the way we stock up.

After that, we ended up driving to Buffalo Target because they are the only store that sells Bibsters-we bought all the boxes (3) they had there as well. It is strange that some stores carry certain items but in a different town, that same store doesn't carry those items. Next we made our way to Cub Foods because I needed specific food items that Wal-Mart doesn't carry. Well, apparently Cub no longer carries one of them, either. (Are turkey cutlets that unpopular or obscure)? So we bought what we could and made our way to our final stop of the day: DQ (again). We each ordered a "Cool Treat" (Mark-a Strawberry Cheesequake Blizzard, me-a chocolate strawberry waffle bowl). While ordering, I noticed that the prices in Buffalo are about 50-60 cents lower than in Monticello...weird. We eventually made our way home and spent some time playing games on the computer, going through wedding music, and singing (Ethan has a wonderful voice).
