Well, we made it. It took me a few days to recover from the sugar hangover eating that large cake gave me, but it was worth it. Ethan's party was on Saturday, and if you were there, you know that it was a fantastic time! Mark and I had been getting the house ready all week (well, all summer, really) by going through things room by room and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! It all paid off in the end! We got up early on Saturday morning to get those last-minute things done-hanging decorations, filling coolers with ice, making the sloppy joes-and finished with just moments to spare. Our house was filled with many friends and family members and even some of Ethan's friends (yes, a one year old has MANY friends-he's probably more popular than Mark and I combined). We had godparents together for the last time in what I guess would be a few years-tear :( and we had enough food to feed an army, but like I said, we had a blast! I can hardly wait til the next one (next kid and next party-I'm thinking we'll have a Baptism party in April or May for Mini-Bun and then Ethan's 2 year next August). But I'm getting ahead of myself and I don't want to age Ethan any quicker than I have to (he's so much fun)! So I will post a few pictures from the event and say again to all who came-thank you so very much!

Ethan LOVES his Cozy Coupe...kudos to Mommy and Daddy!

Nana and Poppy got him a cool new trike-he needs to grow into it, but look at him holding on...he totally gets it!

Ethan opening presents...he loved everything he got! Great job, everyone!

The cake...wow! Way nicer than my attempt the previous weekend (which I will not post-you will laugh-trust me)!!!

Ethan with his godparents-Travis and Lindsey...I will cherish this one especially because this will probably be the last photo of the 3 of them for awhile (with Lindsey living in Fargo and Travis soon to be living in Hawaii). Love you!
