Three Months Worth of Highlights

Okay...so I know it's been forever once again since I blogged, but a lot has happened since then. Some of the highlights:

Easter: While Collin was still pretty little (only a month and a half), we had a terrific Easter. The boys each got an Easter basket filled with candy, books, and a few toys. Also, it was nice going to mass as a family, as typically I am singing in the choir, but took the year off (since we all thought Collin was coming later than he actually did).

Class Baby Shower: My Kindergarten class threw me a baby shower the following weekend. It was a lot of fun and made me appreciate my students (and their families) a whole lot more. Their gift to me: a double stroller, which we use almost daily. Super great time!

Collin's Baptism: Collin's baptism was the very next day and also, the day before I was to return to work. Just like his big brother, Collin did very well during church and baptism. We were all so proud of him. The one challenge was that since he came 3 weeks early, his baptismal gown was slightly snug (Ethan was baptized at around 3 weeks, Collin was about 6 weeks). It worked, though, and afterward, everyone came over for a light lunch.

Work: I went back to work on April 12th and while it was tough, I knew the boys were in good hands. Plus, as I said above, I had an AMAZING class this year. I honestly would've looped with them if I could've. I was glad to be back to teaching. I missed the kids and the school...I didn't necessarily miss the drama. :)

End of the School Year: The end of the school year went really well for me. The last two weeks in particular were lots of fun for the kids and I. Some highlights included: Como Zoo, Track and Field Day, A Guest Principal, and, of course, Graduation. However, in wanting to be home with the boys, I was ready to be done. This year was the fastest I have ever packed up my room. And I am eagerly awaiting to plan soon with the other Kindergarten teacher....

So that about does it! Now that I'm home, I am going to try to be better about this thing. The boys are napping at the same time today-not a common occurrence! And when that does happen, I'm right along with them, but today I'm getting ready for my Wildtree Open House. Baking, blogging, and basking in the silence-it doesn't get much better! Another update soon, I promise!
